You have the wilderness around the corner and plenty of paths and trails, the trail passes Tavelsjö Håkmark.
In autumn, there is many opportunities to go berry/mushroom picking. You can also access a large number of cycle paths with great opportunities to experience the local wildlife, such as hare, fox, moose, deer, grouse, black grouse, capercaillie and other birds.
In winter you can go skiing and snowmobiling in the forests around Håkmark. Umeå Rider's club with riding school is 5 minutes away. You can rent Icelandic horses for riding in Tavelsjö in the Icelandichorescenter in the north about 17 km away.
In summer you can relax on the Ume Lagoon, 10 km away, with swimming, adventure golf, ball games, bike rides or fishing from fishing piers and tempered family bath. Hissjön with its nice family bath is located at 4 km away.
In winter you are close to the ski slopes, such as Bräntberget in Umeå, Middagsberget, Vännäs 25 miles, Buberget, Vindeln 45 km Bygdsiljum 70 km, Agnäs 70 km, ice fishing, Nydala 10 km Tavelsjö 17 km, and a number of ski tracks lit up with electricity (Hissjö 3 km, Gammlia 10 km).
