Holiday accommodation in Dalsland
It is located in western Sweden, with only one place that might be described as a city: Åmal, even though the population doesn't quite match up to the required 10 000 people that the Swedish Board of Statistics (SCB) calls for.
It is believed that Dalsland belonged to Norway until about the year 1000 AD, but this is not sure. However, the region is popular among our neighbors in the west!

Information about the region of Dalsland
Despite its size, the landscape is sometimes referred to as a "Sweden in miniature", then it has a highly variable nature. The province's largest lake is Lake Vänern. The Dalslands channel is a channel that allows boat traffic between Lake Vänern and parts of the lake system in Dalslands interior and southwestern of Värmland. The channel crosses the famous aqueduct in Håverud and is in the summer (season June-August) a much visited tourist destination, both for sailing boats, motor boats and canoes.
